The Question Changes What Becomes Visible
Executive Field Note 051
Questions do more than request information.
They organize attention.
Ask why performance declined and one set of facts becomes relevant.
Ask what changed and another appears.
Ask who is responsible and attention moves somewhere else again.
The situation has not changed.
What becomes visible within it has.
A question is therefore never entirely neutral.
Every question illuminates something.
And leaves something outside its light.
Executive Question:
What became invisible because of the question you chose to ask?
