Leadership Begins Where the Report Ends
Executive Field Note 030
Reports are necessary.
They compress complexity into something usable.
But leadership cannot end where reporting does.
A report contains what the system was prepared to capture.
Leadership must remain interested in what escaped it.
The exception.
The hesitation.
The contradiction.
The thing that does not yet have a category.
The report organizes what is known.
Leadership remains available to what is not.
